The Japan Welding Engineering Society (JWES) initiated the Welding Technology Information Center in 2006
to offer information about welding technologies accumulated in Japan in order to help welding
engineers and to transfer the technologies to the coming generations. The contents of the Center as of January, 2008

- Online calculation of steel weldability and fracture mechanics

- Photo gallery of welding fabrications in Japan
These contents can be perused at http://www-it.jwes.or.jp/. However, they are described in Japanese.
For overseas welding engineers, the following five contents have been translated into English in September, 2008
and the translation of the remaining contents will be continued.
